South Dublin Libraries have archived pdf copies of the Templeogue Telegraph, a local community newsletter that was in circulation in the seventies and eighties. A quick search of the archive shows up some references to the 37th Scout Troop.
This one dates from 1972 and the earliest days of the troop. It was published only a year after the foudation of the troop. The article details a successful fundraising drive and the investiture of 14 new scouts on 6th February 1972 by Father Carey in St Pius church. There is also mention of the Scout Master Marty Morris and another priest involved with the troop, Father Brady.
If you were one of the 14 scouts invested back in 1972 or you were involved in any way with the troop in its early days, we'd love to hear from you. We'd especially be interested in any old photos people might have that we could share on the website.
